Tim Burton [Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice] is remaking Alice in Wonderland in 2010!
After tonight’s assessment, my students and I made it our mission to alleviate Burton’s burden and cast the following characters:
Mad Hatter: Johnny Depp
Alice: Dakota Fanning
Cheshire Cat: Robin Williams
White Rabbit: Dustin Hoffman
Queen of Hearts: Meryl Streep
Tim Burton’s CGI twist on Lewis Carroll’s opium filled classic “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”…there’s no doubt in my mind, this film will be one worth seeing!

I’m not a true johnny depp fan…yeah, he kind of creeps my out – in a big way…more so than tom cruise or sponge bob square pants…what’s up w/ cute actors gone unhinged, eh?

I dont think Burton should cast Depp at all. It is to expected and I think that Depp’s role would end up being to “type-cast”. If Burton was smart he would choose someone not usually seen in his movies but knows what he is about.

i agree with fanning and it’s already been said its gonna be depp. burton’s had great success casting depp in his creepy roles. i dont blame him. as for the rest, tim probably wont go much more main stream than that. he’ll dig into his archives for the rest of the characters.
